Applications can be made from today for a loan of Rs 1 lakh under the state government's scheme, forms will be available at 9,000 places


A lockdown has been declared in Gujarat amid an outbreak of the corona virus.  The lockdown is having an impact on business and employment across the state.  With the aim of helping all the new entrepreneurs in the state, CM Vijay Rupani announced a self-reliant Gujarat assistance scheme.  Forms of Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana started by the CM of the state for the purpose of helping the people doing small business will be given from 21st to 9000 places in the state.
It will be decided by the co-operative bank as well as the credit co-operative society as to who will get the loan under the self-reliant Gujarat assistance scheme.  The loan will last for three years.  The first 6 months of this loan will be considered as a moratorium period.  On the application made by the traders of the state, they will have to take a loan from the bank by October 31.  The amount will be credited to the account of the loan applicants by November 15.  No fee or charge will be levied in this regard.

Regarding Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana, CM Secretary Ashwin Kumar said that such application form can be obtained from about 1000 district co-operative bank branches, 1400 urban co-operative banks and more than 7000 credit co-operative societies across the state.  To avail the benefit of this scheme, the application form has to be filled and returned by 31st August

⭐ Loans up to Rs 1 lakh will be given to approximately 10 lakh individuals for 3 years

Under the scheme, a loan of Rs 1 lakh will be given to an estimated 10 lakh individuals employing small traders, artisans and businesses at an interest rate of just 2 per cent for three years, CM Ashwini Kumar said.  This loan will not require any kind of guarantor.  With this no installment will be charged for 6 months from the commencement of this loan.
The announcement to give this 3 year loan to the co-operative bank beneficiaries at 8% interest is getting good response from the people.  The CMA has decided that the state government will pay the remaining 6 per cent interest to small business owners so that they do not have to bear the burden of interest.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has announced a self-reliant Gujarat assistance scheme to help all small businesses in Gujarat.
